Abstract

The University of California, Merced campus is the tenth campus in the University of California system. Collection includes graphic representations, maps, and renderings concerning the first phase master planning of campus development.

Scope and Contents

The Joseph Edward Gallo Recreation and Wellness Center totals 24,985 asf (35,690 gsf). The project includes a gymnasium with bleachers, a student health and wellness center, sports instruction space, cardiovascular/weight training room, locker room, public lobby and reception, and a small administrative office suite.

Scope and Contents The Science and Engineering Building provides about 110,000 assignable square feet within a total area of 234,000 gross square feet, for research laboratories, laboratory support, teaching laboratories and offices for the natural sciences and engineering divisions. The campus multi-phase site development and infrastructure strategy includes: Phase 1 - site clearance, rough grading, and underground utility work plus construction of the central utility plant. [Completed in 2005]. Phase 2 - completion of the central utility plant, installation of a thermal energy storage tank and street paving.
