The overarching vision of the Library is to merge previously distinct elements into a synergistic whole. Technology is integrated into day-to-day University life, so that coursework, homework, and research become a single activity. Libraries were traditionally considered repositories for storing scarce resources such as expensive books or specialized journals. As technology has developed, however, more and more of these scarce resources are becoming plentiful in a digital format.
