Change Order to Housing and Dining project. Design Build WC combined. This project provides food service facilities for students, faculty, staff and visitors. The project constructs the core and shell facility for dining (11,050 asf), as well as provide additional tenant improvements for the adjacent convenience store (1,000 asf) and a small operation to be located within the Library/Information Technology Center (700 asf).

The UC Merced Early Childhood Education Center (ECEC) serves the young children of the students, staff, and faculty of UC Merced and a number of community children with high quality early care and education. The ECEC follows the campus calendar and is open year-round. The center serves infants, toddlers and preschoolers.

The Student Housing Phase 3 is composed of approximately 57,940 assignable square feet/84,130 gross square feet in two four-story buildings on the campus at Scholars Lane between Emigrant Pass and Mammoth Lakes Road, just to the west of the Valley Terraces student housing complex. The combined dining facility will serve about 1,000 resident students in addition to staff, faculty and visitors. Project increases campus dining capacity from 345 to 668 seats (504 indoor and 164 outdoor seats)
